Praise for Tears and Laughter and Happy Ever After
Oh, what a treat this anthology is. It’s so good to read short stories written by people who can really write them. This is a smashing little book – who could fail to be intrigued by such titles as From Tesco’s with Love and Aunt Agony? Not me. I really enjoyed settling down with this anthology and I wasn’t disappointed.
A Single Strand of Spaghetti, A Single Drop of Olive Oil… by Helen Hunt – so beautifully written, this story was as deliciously poignant as its title, but don’t read this one when you’re hungry.
Another favourite was, We’ll Meet Again, by Kath McGurl, a beautifully constructed and tender ghost story.
Hive Talking, a really unusual story about bees and holidays with a wicked sting in the tail!
I really think this anthology has something for everyone. It’s a delight. I only wish I was in it! I’d have been proud to have been amongst these writers.
